MTV have released a cast photo and new arrival, Arden Cho, is front and center.
Cho plays Kira, a Japanese-Korean student who is new to Beacon Hills High and will play a big part in unraveling the season’s mysteries.
Accompanying the image was a new synopsis for the forthcoming season:
“Three weeks after saving the lives of their parents, Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), and Allison (Crystal Reed) begin to suffer strange side effects from their ritual sacrifice.
“At the same time, the newly enlightened Sheriff Stilinski (Sheriff Stilinski) scours through old cases, re-assessing whether each could have had supernatural causes.
“Throughout the upcoming season Scott struggles to find his place as an Alpha, while he, Allison, and Stiles continue experiencing repercussions as a result of reigniting the power within Beacon Hills.
“They soon discover that the answer to their problems may be found in a new student named Kira (Arden Cho), a girl with remarkable powers of her own.”
Kira’s pivotal role is clear as she takes pride of place next to Scott in the picture – a sport formerly reserved for No. 1 sidekick Stiles or true love, Allison.
Could this mean Kira’s the new love MTV have been hinting at for Scott this season?
