ORLANDO, October 26, 2014 – 21 DAYS screened last night at the Freak Show Horror Film Festival in Orlando, Florida. In its 9th year, the festival is part of a larger horror convention that took place this weekend, drawing over 10,000 attendees from all over the world to the 3 day event. Along with 11 feature films and dozens of shorts that screened, Stars from THE WALKING DEAD, GRIMM and other popular horror shows/films, including actor, TOBIN BELL, (Jigsaw) from the SAW franchise, were in attendance.

After the screening, during a lengthy Q&A session with the film’s writer/director/producer, Kathleen Behun, numerous audience members commented- many of whom were not found-footage fans- that they absolutely loved 21 DAYS, finding it “Deeply suspenseful; grabbing the audience from the first frame”. Many also appreciated the fact the film was void of the typical “shaky” camera shots that is so often used in the genre, and instead, utilized more clever camera work to tell the story. Several others shared they were happy to discover the film used “little to no visual effects, yet remained incredibly creepy and scary throughout”. One filmgoer boldly commented, “It was everything the first PARANORMAL ACTIVITY should have been”. And yet another shared, “It was one of the best independent films I’ve seen in a long time”.

When we asked Kathleen Behun what she thought of the screening and the reaction from the audience, she replied, “When I consider how horror film savvy and knowledgeable the audience was, I was deeply, deeply honored and downright ecstatic”.

21 Days has also recently won its first award, BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE FILM, at the Los Angeles Film and Script Festival.
