Books of Magic #2

Tim’s magical journey continues in Books of Magic #2 as he learns more about magic and how important it is for him to get some sleep.

Tim’s journey to becoming the most powerful magician continues in Books of Magic #2. While Dr. Rose discovers a new threat, Tim learns about how to focus his power.

Dr. Rose captured the would-be assassin outside Tim’s house, but her magic reveals that there are bad things yet to come. Meanwhile, Tim unlocks more lessons from his magic book. He’s learning about magic words and wands and how these things are ways that a magician can focus power. Tim chooses a screwdriver to channel his power.

Though his magical training is going well, Tim’s having trouble sleeping. He was already falling asleep at school thanks to his mom’s disappearance, and now his extracurricular studies are keeping him up. Dr. Rose wants that to stop. One of his nocturnal journeys takes him on a quest to find his mom, only to lead to disaster.

Writer Kat Howard is moving the story along really well. The story moves along quickly and it seems to be building to something even bigger as Tim realizes how serious the consequences of his magic are.
