Attention authors and aspiring authors!
DarkMedia is continuously accepting short stories, flash fiction, novel excerpts and poetry for publication on DarkMedia.com. As a rapidly growing resource for all things Dark, we would like to extend our involvement in the literary community by supporting and promoting incredible works of fiction.
Submission Guidelines:
Must be within the category of “dark” fiction
(horror, thriller, mystery, sci-fi, paranormal romance, etc.)
Short Story Length: 1,000-3,000 words
Flash Fiction Length: under 1,000 words
Novel Excerpt Length: 1,000-3,000 words
Poetry Length: up to 500 words
Zombies, vampires, ghosts, and anything in between welcome!
We do NOT want:
- Torture, Abuse, or Rape
- Homophobia, Sexism, or Racism

Please note: Effective March 30th, 2013, all submissions for publication must first deposit a non-refundable reading fee of $15. This also includes a professional edit of all selected pieces, prior to publication.
Selected fiction, excerpts and poetry will not only be published on DarkMedia.com, but promoted to tens of thousands of readers via our official social media outlets. Each author will be allowed a bio section in the tagline, with links to their own website, book purchasing pages, and social media profiles. Want to get the word out about your writing or your new book? DarkMedia.com is an ideal platform for that.
DarkMedia will be posting and promoting the selected pieces on a monthly basis. All entries received before the 20th of the month will be considered for the following month. Any entries submitted after that date will be considered for the next round of publication.
